The AGT Trophy Series introduced in 2016 is back with 2 Mini Enduros of 50 minutes each with great intensity and tactics expected from these older generation GT cars featuring 9 R8 Audi LMS Ultras headed up by the experienced Steve McLaughlan and Rod Salmon and a string other similar cars from Audi Customer Sport specialist Melbourne Performance Centre. Ferrari is represented with 3 458’s and a lone F430 for Brisbane Trucking magnate Mark Griffiths. Lamborghini Gallardos number 3 headed up by PIARC competitor Matt Turnbull and of real interest is former Lambo owner and PIARC member Justin McMillan in a new GT4 Reiter KTM X-Box.

The Australian Prototypes sports car category (previously known as Sports Racers) is increasingly popular with their screaming 1000 and 1500cc motorcycle engines sure to entertain with lap times only 4 seconds outside the circuit record.

Ford and Holden fans will have their fix with the V8 Touring Cars, many of these former V8 Supercars running in their heritage colors’. Gippsland local and PIARC ace Terry Wyhoon has 3 Falcons running out of his Image Racing Workshop with Jordan Boys second in the points to Brad Jones Racings Jack Smith, Josh Smith fourth and Leigh Moran making his first appearance for 2017.

The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge 2017 sees Porsche Junior and rising star Jordan Love returning to the Island as the newly crowned Jim Richards Endurance Cup Champion.

Love will be aiming to also win the 2017 GT3 Cup Challenge as well as he enters the final round with an 82 point advantage over Brenton Grove and a further 100 over Sam Shahin. Former Olympic silver medalist John Steffensen will be looking to consolidate his top 10 position to cap a terrific first season in motor racing.

Don’t miss this battle on Saturday as these young chargers vie to be the next graduates to the prestigious Carrera Cup Category both here and overseas.

The fans of long distance events will be hanging out for the Australian Production Car Series 4 hour Enduro Sunday afternoon with Bob Pearson / Rick Bates Mitsubishi EVO 10 leading into the penultimate round ahead of Morcom / Mostert Focus and Grant and Iain Sherrin in a BMW M4.
