We are seeking a Motorsport Operations Manager is responsible for planning, documenting and delivering our motorsport operations with a strong focus on risk management, regulatory compliance, customer service and cost control while overseeing the workload of department staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of our motorsport on-track activities including the planning and delivery of our day to day circuit hire, public and major events;
- Ensure the circuit is prepared, and activity is conducted, in compliance with motorsport regulatory requirements and relevant internal policies and procedures (eg. noise policy);
- Assist with the negotiation of relevant track licences, TOPCAR permit and conditions, promoter agreements, etc. with governing bodies
- Providing leadership and guidance internally and externally to ensure that our motorsport activities deliver a positive customer experience;
- Establish, review and monitor procedures to ensure that motorsport inventory and facilities are ready and available for use as required;
- Actively manage our risk assessment processes for circuit activities, supervise and deliver the circuits critical incident protocols and comply with reporting obligations for on-track medical responses;
- Lead the motorsport department to ensure a thorough understanding of our processes and expectations;
- Lead the planning, documentation and delivery of all motorsport aspects of major events (WorldSBK and MotoGP) including supplementary and further regulations, race schedule, negotiating and appointing race organisation service providers
- Represent PI Ops on Race Organising Committee for WorldSBK and MotoGP;
- Continually review operational costs to ensure that motorsport operations are delivered in a cost-effective way within agreed budgets.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL POSSESS:
- Tertiary education in Sports Management, Event Management or another relevant field;
- Previous experience in Motorsport or Events industry
- Excellent Planning and Communication skills
- Strong Leadership and Relationship Management skills
- Advanced Computer Skills, including MS Office suite (Office, Word, Excel)
- First Aid Certificate *
- Working with Children Check *
- Forklift Licence *
- Driver’s Licence
*Preferred but not essential
