WorldSBK Australian Round event schedule officially announced

On February 20 – 22, Round 1 of the 2026 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship gets underway at the Phillip Island Circuit.

With just over a month to go, the countdown to the annual return of world-class production motorbike racing is on for adrenaline junkies and race-fans alike.

The three-day event schedule has been officially released and details all the high-octane, on-track action for the World Superbike Championship, along with the Australian Superbike Championship.

World Championship

On the international front, the WorldSBK class takes to the tarmac with two Free Practice sessions on Friday, February 20. The WorldSSP young-guns will follow with one Free Practice stretch before returning to the track for the Tissot Superpole.

Saturday, February 21, WorldSBK will kick off their day of action with a final, third Free Practice session before the Tissot Superpole and Race 1, which will close out the day’s activity. WorldSSP will head out for a Warm Up before getting Race 1 underway later in the day.

The final jam-packed hours of the three-day event, Sunday, February 22, will see the WorldSBK class undertake their Warm Up session in the morning, before getting ready for the Tissot Superpole Race in the early afternoon, and the final race of the day – and the event – Race 2 at 4pm. WorldSSP will also head on-track for a morning Warm Up after the header category, along with Race 2 in the mid-afternoon.

National Championships

Supporting the international event, the domestic categories will take to the track for the first round of the 2026 Australian Superbike Championship season. The Australian Supersport 300, Australian Supersport and Australian Superbike classes will all respectively kick off the event’s action on the Friday morning for Free Practice, before the Supersport 300 and Supersport move onto Qualifying sessions later in the day, plus a final, second Free Practice session for the Australian Superbike class. Closing out the day’s on-track action, will be Supersport 300 for Race 1.

Similarly, Saturday will begin with the domestic classes kicking off the day’s action. Australian Superbike will head out bright-and-early for Qualifying, before Supersport 300 (Race 2) and Supersport (Race 1) respectively tackle their race sessions. Race 1 for Australian Superbike gets underway in the early afternoon, plus Australian Supersport’s Race 2 later in the day.

The closing day of action will consist of the final races of the round for the domestic classes. Kicking off the action, Supersport 300 (Race 3) and Australian Superbike (Race 2) will respectively vie for victory before the Supersport category takes to the track for Race 3, followed on later in the day by Australian Superbike’s final Race 3 of the round.
