
Mark your calendars. The Phillip Island Circuit will again, proudly host the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship on February 19 – 21 for the opening round of the championship’s 2027 season.
The iconic Circuit will roar to life as the world class series takes to the tarmac against the picturesque backdrop of Bass Strait.
Two-days of pre-season testing will also take place in the days prior, on February 15 and 16, 2027.
Minister for Sport and Major Events, Steve Dimopoulos said that “we look forward to welcoming riders, crew and fans back to Phillip Island in February 2027 for thrilling action on the track and beyond, filling up our cafes, shops and hotels.”
“This event puts Phillip Island on the global stage as a stunning visitor destination, with superbikes fans from around the world tuning in for the opening round.”
Fans can get ready to soak up the exhilarating Superbike atmosphere in what will be the 36th event that the Phillip Island Circuit has hosted.
Minister for Tourism Natalie Suleyman also stated, “there’s no better place on earth to open the World Superbike season than Phillip Island, and Victoria is proud to host it.”
“Thousands of superbike fans descending on the island means a major boost for local small and family businesses right across the region.”
Eventgoers can start planning their trips for another World Superbike summer down under and experience what the Phillip Island Circuit, and the surrounding Phillip Island and Gippsland region has to offer.
Expect three-days of high-octane motorsport action and witness some of the world’s best motorcycle riders vie for their first critical points and wins for the first round of the season.
