Lachlan Hill, Levi Day and Tom Bramich share Phil Irving honours at the 26th International Island Classic, presented by Visit Phillip Island.
The Phil Irving Trophy, named in honour of the Australia engineer is awarded to the rider who accrues the most points outside the International Challenge throughout the weekend.
For the first time since its inception in 1994, the Phil Irving Trophy was a three-way tie for 2019 as Lachlan Hill, Levi Day and Tom Bramich all had clean sweeps in their respective classes.
It was the first time Lachlan Hill, who competed in the 250cc and 350cc Forgotten Era classes had received the acclaimed trophy.
Levi Day, competing in 250cc and 500cc New Era classes has taken out the Phil Irving Trophy on three previous occasions (2010, 2012 and 2015), whilst Tom Bramich competing in the 500cc Forgotten Era and 500cc New Era classes also won it in 2016.
Five riders have won the trophy twice; however, it is Russell Fairbairn who holds the record for the most wins with five (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2008).
These three riders join an elite class of previous winners with honours board for the Phil Irving trophy a who’s who racing, including Wayne Gardner, Ginger Molloy and Cameron Donald.
