This role will assist with the preparation and delivery of our daily motorsport and event operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance and customer service.
You will participate in a seven-day roster including weekend work, early starts and late finishes in line with the venue hirers requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with venue, track and gravel trap preparation and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and supervise daily motorsport activity:
o Conduct daily opening procedures, checking readiness of facilities, garages, paddock and track
o Conduct daily closing procedures, blow garages out, perform minor repairs and cleaning
o Observe motorsport activities for compliance, enforcing safety standards and hire terms as required.
o Respond to track incidents – perform oil spill cleanups, barrier repairs and track cleaning with assistance from maintenance
o Document on-track and off-track incidents (medical, fire, oil spills, safety hazards)
o Monitor motorsport noise levels and conduct off-site noise testing.
o Oversee fuel compound and update necessary documentation
o Assist in supervising critical incident protocols.
• Perform track related maintenance and upgrades with assistance from maintenance (tyre barrier construction, track painting, verge repairs)
• Undertake suite setup, including furniture movements and placement
• Perform general venue and facility cleaning as required
• Adhere to OH&S requirements, implementing safe work practices with awareness of associated risks and responsibilities.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL POSSESS:
• Demonstrated ability to understand documented instructions and follow process
• Competent to undertake maintenance tasks and use power tools
• Previous experience in motorsport, venue operations or similar role
• Effective communication, time management and attention to detail
• Experience in emergency incidents and situations *
• Current Drivers Licence
• Working with Children Check *
• First Aid Certificate *
• Forklift Licence *
* Preferred but not essential. Suitable training will be provided where required
