Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Visitor Centre ensuring that an efficiently run, high quality venue is presented to the market. A key focus of your role is to make a positive impact on the Visitor Centre by providing leadership, training, administration duties along with outstanding customer service and sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial
- Operate and maintain the IMPOS system and ensure it operates efficiently
- Responsible for the balancing POS registers and Eftpos machines daily
- Raise purchase orders and obtain necessary approvals within pre-set limit
- Process group bookings and raise invoice request forms as required
Retail Operations
- Operate the retail outlet in a positive manner to maximise sales and upsell products
- Assist with and complete monthly merchandise stocktakes
- Manage, maintain and control stock through the POS system
General
- Complete and distribute daily Visitor Centre report
- Ensure cleanliness and presentation of the venue
- Report any issues in relation to maintenance, and presentation of the gardens
- Oversee the History of Motorsport display including maintenance of the vehicle register, presentation and cleanliness
- Contribute to marketing initiatives to increase sales
- Maintain a close working relationship with Go Kart operations
- Work weekends as required and extended hours if required across event weeks
Cafe
- Oversee Café staff and assist with café operation
- Responsible for the balancing POS registers and EFTpos machines daily
- Ensure staff that are involved in the Café have relevant training and they have a current RSA if serving alcohol
Staff
- Coordinate and direct Visitors Centre staff
- Provide staff training and guidance in all areas of the Visitor Centre operations
- Recommend casual staff for employment & maintain training register
- Other duties as required
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL POSSESS:
- Currently undertaking or successful completion of secondary education
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role
- Previous experience in a Customer Service Role
- Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA)
- First Aid Certificate – Level 2 *
- * training will be provided where these qualifications are not held
- Ability to lead and to work within a team
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheets and outlook
- Proficiency in POS and Eftpos
- Maintain a knowledge of occupational health and safety and follow procedures
- Excellent time management skillS
