Team New Zealand’s Damien Kavney is ready for the fight at this weekend’s 25th Australian Motorcycle News International Island Classic at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, January 26 – 28.
New Zealand will compete in the MV Agusta International Challenge against the Troy Corser led-Australia, team United Kingdom featuring the talents of Jeremy McWIlliams and team USA who have recruited the Texas Tornado, Colin Edwards.
“Our strategy is to try and get as many points we can in every race and have all of our rider’s finish, so we can capitalize on points.
I’ll be riding a Suzuki XR69 with a GSX 1100 engine. When I came to the Island in 2011 when Lee Gourlay had Roger Winfield’s Suzuki out here and I just fell in love with it.”
Said Kavney.
