Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit are elated to announce they will again host the season opener of the 2024 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, the Grand Ridge Brewery Australian Round from 23 – 25 February 2024. 

When the calendar was released and Phillip Island shown as the first round, the biggest smile probably went to the now #1. After an extravagant team launch in Madonna di Campiglio in the Italian Dolomites which revealed the #1 on the front of WorldSBK Ducati for the first time in 18 years, the opening round awaited and that’s exactly where #TheDefence started.

After an impressive debut year on the world stage contesting the World Supersport Challenge, which saw the Australian rider compete in all European rounds of the FIM Supersport World Championship, Luke Power has secured his spot in WorldSSP in 2024.

The Portugal fans were treated during the penultimate round at Portimao, witnessing what has now been called one of the greatest race in WorldSBK in recent years, but most certainly the best race of the season.

It was a weekend of both celebration and despair from Australia’s Remy Gardner [GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team], who claimed his best race finish of fourth place in Superpole. And while Race 2 was shaping up to be yet another strong finish for the Aussie, it ended in a mechanical heartbreak for the 25-year-old.

Yamaha Motor Europe is thrilled to announce the continuation of its successful partnership with Remy Gardner for the 2024 FIM Superbike World Championship season. The contract extension was officially sealed during the build-up to the Magny-Cours round, solidifying Gardner’s place within the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team.
