Australia’s own Oli Bayliss has been chosen as a Wild Card Supersport World Championship entrant as part of the 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship Yamaha Finance opening round at Phillip Island.
With the Kawasaki Racing Team of Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes testing at the new Barcelona circuit of Montmelo, Toprak Razgatlioglu pipped Scott Redding in the Portimao two day test.
Completing just a few laps was all that was needed for Jonathan Rea, whilst Yamaha, Ducati and Honda all impressed inside the leading positions.
The ‘Pocket Rocket’ Haslam saw off Michael van der Mark, whilst Garrett Gerloff put America in third, with the rain in Spain persistent once again.
After a lengthy winter in which the 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship enjoyed the festivities, it is back to hard work and testing activities.
